The iPhone 16 Pro brings a series of notable updates focused on performance, display, and a more robust camera system.
Performance and Design A18 Pro Chip: The new A18 Pro chip, built on a second-generation 3-nanometer process, is optimized for on-device AI and Apple Intelligence features. It features a new 6-core CPU and a 6-core GPU, with a 16-core Neural Engine that is significantly faster than the previous generation. Larger Display: The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models have slightly larger displays, with a 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch screen respectively. They also feature thinner bezels, giving them the thinnest borders of any Apple product to date. Improved Thermal Design: A re-engineered internal design with a new aluminum substructure helps dissipate heat more efficiently, allowing for up to 20% better sustained performance. Camera Enhancements New Capture Button: A new, dedicated "Capture" button has been added to the side of the phone. It's a two-stage button that allows you to half-press to focus and a full press to take a photo. You can also slide your finger on the button to zoom in or out. Upgraded Lenses: Both the main and Ultra Wide cameras have been upgraded to 48 megapixels. The 5x Telephoto lens, previously exclusive to the Pro Max, is now included on the smaller Pro model as well.
